How did you push through? G: I never really wanted to give up. There were times when I just wanted to stop for the day, but never completely quit. I was given an amazing opportunity and I did not want to take it for granted. CG: How is your life different now? G: I live a completely different lifestyle now. I make healthier choices when I'm eating and I make sure to go to the gym every day. CG: What is the best part of being thinner? How have your friends and family reacted to your new body?
G: The best part of being thinner is knowing that I am healthy. Also, I don't have to worry about little things such as, not being able to fit in amusement park rides, or having to go to certain stores to go shopping. I love being able to walk into any store I want and being able to know I'll fit into the clothes there.
My friends and family have been so supportive, they know I'm happy, so they're happy for me. CG: What is your advice for those out there who are struggling with their weight? G: My advice for others is to be patient. It takes time, my trainer always says, "The weight didn't come on overnight so it's not going to come off overnight either.
And stay strong, it's hard, really hard. Surround yourself around positive people. Also, and most importantly give yourself credit. Be proud of yourself and applaud yourself for the littlest of accomplishments, they all matter! CG: Do you ever worry that you'll revert back to old habits? How do you make sure that won't happen? G: I do get worried, but I know I'll be okay because I know what my triggers are. I know to keep my hands busy while watching tv because I always used to snack while watching tv, so instead, I knit.
CG: Do you get treated differently now? Brett: Sadie has some real humdingers this year, for sure. She's got some good lines.
Molly: I'm Team Matty. I am, and I think I'm too immature to be Team Jake. But I do have to say that this season I was melted a little bit sometimes by Jake. So I'm glad I'm not in Jenna's position. Or am I? But he's genuine, and he's honest. I think maybe Jake a little bit is in love with being in love because he did have a girlfriend before, and he didn't cheat on her.
Brett: He's definitely a serial monogamist. He goes from one relationship to another. Because Jake, he's heartbreaking in the season, in a good way. I went on a first date to see a re-release of Raging Bull , and this guy was trying to make out with me during it. Brett: Mine is actually in a movie theater as well, and it is the most romantic movie of all time, maybe, Titanic. It was like first date of firsts—way before I should ever be dating, and you didn't know what to do and yeah, it was awkward, but my heart will go on. Beau: I went to a girlfriend's house to see her parents and have dinner.
