Yeah, I'm pretty sure the songs are still fine. I think it ruins songs, ruins Television, and ruins the art of acting. What a piece of shit show. I'd rather listen to the original songs and although I haven't listened to any Glee covers there must be some merit to them or the show wouldn't be popular amongst certain people and the CD's wouldn't sell.
When they cover songs I know I tend to not like it. When it's songs I've not heard of my feelings are generally either "I still don't like it" or "This is okay". I watch Glee and most of the time I like it, even when the music rubs me the wrong way.
S'funny enough. I don't think they ruin the songs. And one of the people in the relationship would definitely want to go to Hollywood to be an actor because of course one of the students would want to do that.
